What Was Symbian?
Symbian was one of the first smartphone operating systems, originally developed by Nokia and used on their popular N-series and E-series handsets. During the mid-2000s, Symbian was the most widely used smartphone platform in the world. It was particularly popular in Europe, where Nokia dominated the mobile phone market.

Why Symbian Is No Longer Supported
Nokia officially discontinued Symbian in 2012 when they switched to Windows Phone (and later Android).
